Church Life

Adult Bible Studies

Men’s Bible study meets Wednesdays at 7:00 am for prayer, Bible study, and discipleship.

Ladies’ Bible study meets on a quarterly basis.

Adult Sunday School

Our adult Sunday School goes from 9:15 am – 10:15 am, with the last 20 minutes spent in congregational prayer.

Sunday School topics have recently included:

  • Chapter by chapter through the Westminster Confession of Faith
  • Esther and Ruth
  • Spiritual Disciplines

Small Groups

Much like the early church, we believe meeting in small groups to study God’s Word, to pray, and to encourage and edify one another is an essential part of discipleship. Led by one or more of our elders, our small groups meet throughout the month and provide great opportunities to get to know each other better.

  • Woodstock Small Group – 2nd and 4th Sunday, 5:30 pm
  • 4th Sunday Small Group – 4th Sunday, 12:15 pm

Meetup

In seeking to engage unbelievers in our community, we started the “Woodstock Questioners” meetup group ten years ago. The meetup discussions focus on theology, philosophy, morality, and worldviews. We meet at Reformation Brewery in Woodstock:

  • 1st Saturday of every month – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • 3rd Sunday of every month – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Children’s Sunday School

Our children’s Sunday School program goes from 9:15 am – 9:55 am. Our classes are divided up by age and grade. We have classes for Toddlers (2-3), Preschool (4-5), Younger Elementary (1st-3rd Grade), and Older Elementary (4th-5th Grade).

Our classes use a curriculum from Great Commission Publications, which is designed across all ages to teach Jesus through the whole Bible. Our Youth Sunday School (Middle and High School) is working through the Westminster Shorter Catechism.

Nursery

While we encourage (and are patient with) parents to include their children in our time to worship, we do provide a nursery for up to 3 years in age.

We have church members, often husbands and wives, as part of our team of nursery volunteers. For each volunteer, we perform a background check and take steps to ensure the safety of each child in our care.
